DVDFab HD Decrypter is a free for personal use application that can be used to extract your DVD's to your harddrive.  If you've got young kids this will save you from buying the same DVD over and over again, just back them up and save them.  If you want to create a digital movie collection this will get you started on your way, it will take some additional software to complete the process, stay tuned over the next few weeks those will be added to this list also.
